DMTC is committed to minimize the inconvenience arsing out of the construction of this Elevated Metro Rail system. Road and Traffic conditions are one of the mostly researched factors that were being scrutinized in minute details. In order to minimize damages to the road and traffic congestions, MRT Line-6 project has taken up a strategic plan based on numerous surveys of Traffic Pattern and existing Road conditions. Diversion of Traffic routes along the construction sites, introduction of alternate roads, erecting enclosures around the construction sites to prevent accidents and spillage will be a few steps among others to mitigate public suffering during construction. Originally the Metro Rail Line-6 was supposed to start Commercial operation in 2024. However, the Bangladesh Governement has identified the MRT Line-6 project as a 'priority project.' Therefore, DMTC is working hard to implement the project earlier than 2024.

The Government of Bangladesh is working to implement a Revised Strategic Trasportation Plan, under which, the MRT Line-6 may be extended from both ends from Uttara to Gazipur and from Motijheel to Sayedabad.

DMTC will hire Train Operators as per the qualification criteria set by the Institutional Development Consultant. The hired operators will be sent overseas for hands-on Training on a running Metro operation.
